1. HypnoBand
The HypnoBand Programme may be a great option if your BMI is over 30, particularly if you have more than 2 stone to lose. It’s a safe, risk-free, and cost-effective alternative to traditional gastric band surgery, which can cost around £7,000. Unlike surgery, which comes with potential risks like infections, the virtual gastric band offers no such concerns.
The concept behind a gastric band is to limit the amount of food you can eat by creating a small pouch at the top of your stomach. As you eat, this pouch fills up quickly, helping you feel full for longer periods. With surgical gastric bands, adjustments can be made by changing the amount of saline in the collar to control the size of the band opening. However, with HypnoBand, this restriction is achieved through the power of suggestion, providing you with a non-invasive solution.
Won’t I know the surgery wasn’t real? The answer is both yes and no. The HypnoBand Programme works by helping your mind believe you’ve undergone the procedure.
